School Website
Preview and publish website changes
Publishing replaces the public website's published version with the saved draft.
Who this guide is for: Administrators and Editors with Website access.
Source reviewed · Draft for review
Before you begin
Check the correct school and coordinate with other editors. Publication includes saved changes in the shared draft, not just your latest edit.
Steps
- Save each edited section or form. Wait for Draft changes saved.
- Select Preview and review available Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile views.
- Check menu links, page text, card destinations, and image descriptions.
- Select Save & Publish.
- Read Publish website changes?. If ready, select Publish Changes.
- Wait for the success message, then open View Website from the dashboard and check the public result.
Expected result
The published website uses the saved draft. Saving a form alone does not publish the Website version.
Troubleshooting
If Save & Publish is disabled, check for unsaved content, saving in progress, or no unpublished changes. If another session changed the draft, copy any unsaved text somewhere safe and refresh to inspect the current draft before retrying. After an interrupted save, reconcile the draft before making more changes. Discard Changes permanently removes unpublished Website changes and leaves the current published website in place; use it only when you intend to lose that draft.
