Before you begin
Have an active Sundial account with district access assigned by a SuperAdmin. Use your supplied administrator sign-in link.
Steps
- Sign in and follow the district selection offered for your account. Select the authorized district if more than one is listed.
- Check the district name. Use Overview, Schools, School Administrators, Announcements, or Calendar in the district navigation.
- Open Schools. If needed, enter a school name and use Search schools.
- Select a school card to enter that school's dashboard. Check the school name before making changes.
- Use Switch school above the school dashboard to choose another authorized school.
- Use ← Return to District to return to the district overview. Use Change district where offered to return to selection.
- Use the school's Users section to manage eligible Administrators or Editors, following the access controls shown.
Expected result
You can move between authorized schools and the district overview without treating every school as a separate account.
Troubleshooting
DistrictAdmins manage existing authorized schools. They cannot create or delete schools, transfer schools between districts, assign DistrictAdmins, or access global SuperAdmin controls. Features can still be disabled per school, and some Website card/import controls have additional restrictions. District Calendar is a view of school events, not a promise of a separate district bell-schedule editor. Missing schools require an assignment review by a SuperAdmin.
