Set up notifications and period reminders
Notifications deliver school messages to a registered device. Period reminders, when enabled by your school, send a push before scheduled periods.

Before you begin
Be online. Use a browser/device that supports notifications. For iPhone/iPad, open the installed Home Screen app. Delivery also depends on the school's notification service.
Steps
- If asked Who is using this device?, choose the appropriate audience and select Continue.
- On Stay informed, choose Continue to open the permission request, then allow notifications in the device prompt. Choose Not now if you do not want push messages.
- Open the bell button to read the notification inbox.
- In the notifications drawer, where the Period reminders control is offered, turn it on if you want reminders. The school chooses the reminder timing.
- If your school uses grade-based schedules, choose and save your grade online. Check any message about confirming the reminder grade.
Expected result
The app saves the device's audience and supported notification preferences. Permission alone does not guarantee a message will arrive.
Troubleshooting
If reminders say Not currently enabled by your school, ask the school about availability. If permission was denied, use browser/device notification settings to allow it, then reopen the app online. Check Focus/Do Not Disturb settings and connectivity. Retry failed setup using the displayed prompt. The audience choice may remain in the browser even after removing the Home Screen app; each device has its own setup.
